This Wix Filters 33052 is a fuel cartridge filter designed specifically for installation inside carburetors on many General Motors vehicles built between 1976-1990. It serves to remove fuel contaminants such as dirt, rust, or scale to protect carburetors or fuel injection systems in those applications.
The filter element is made of cellulose media, rated at 25 microns nominal filtration. Its dimensions are a height of 2.01 inches (51 mm), outer diameter of 0.70 inches (18 mm), inner bottom diameter of 0.20 inches (5 mm), with the top inner end being closed. There is an anti-drain back valve included to maintain fuel retention when the engine is shut off.
Built for normal and severe driving conditions, it provides efficient fuel flow with low restriction while capturing particles that can degrade engine performance.
